Reminder: Pope Francis to Consecrate the World to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

The consecration will take place this Sunday, October 13th, the anniversary of the last apparition of Our Lady in Fatima.  You can read more HERE and HERE.

A Prayer of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

O Mother of Mercy, Queen of Heaven and earth,
Refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves to your
Immaculate Hear this day.
We give to you our hearts and souls,
our families and all that we have,
knowing that you will always lead us closer to Jesus.
We renew today the promises of our Baptism
and rededicate ourselves to following your model of purity.
May we live as good Christians,
being faithful to God, the Church
and the Pope.
We desire to pray the Rosary,
confess our sins, partake in the Holy Eucharist,
honor your Immaculate Heart on
the first Saturday of each month and work
for the conversion of souls.
Furthermore,
we promise O most Blessed Virgin,
that we will zealously spread devotion to you,
so that through our consecration to your Immaculate Heart and through
your own powerful prayers,
Christ the King may reign in all hearts forever.
Amen.

54-day Rosary Novena, beginning on September 16th and ending on November 8th.

As we announced last week, Pope Francis will consecrate the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on October 13, 2013, and he is having the statue of Our Lady that stands on the site of the apparitions in Fatima shipped to Rome to mark the occasion.
In support of the Holy Father, all members and friends of the World Apostolate of Fatima USA and people throughout the world are invited to participate in a 54-day Rosary Novena, beginning on September 16th and ending on November 8th.
The first 27 days of the novena will serve as a time to petition Our Lady leading up to the consecration. The following 27 days will be days of thanksgiving for all the blessings given to us through Her intercession.
You can now find the full details of the novena, including links to the prayers, on the home page of www.bluearmy.com.
The apostolate's intention for the novena is:
That Pope Francis' consecration will bring mercy from God the Father for the salvation of souls; grace from God the Son for the conversion of sinners; an increase in practice of the First Saturday Communions of Reparation; enlightenment from God the Holy Spirit as we pray for world peace; and an increase in devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary as we approach the 2017 Centennial of the apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima.
Again, don't forget to share this with as many people as you can through your address book and social channels!

Portuguese cardinal entrusts Pope Francis to Our Lady of Fatima

From Catholic News Service:
FATIMA, Portugal (CNS) -- Entrusting Pope Francis' pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima, Cardinal Jose da Cruz Policarpo of Lisbon, Portugal, asked Mary to give the pope courage and strength, particularly as he moves to renew and reform the Catholic Church. "Give him the gift of discernment to know how to identify the ways of renewal of the church; give him the courage not to hesitate to follow the ways suggested by the Holy Spirit; support him in the hard hours of suffering to overcome with the charity the trials that the renewal of the church will bring," the cardinal prayed May 13, the feast of Our Lady of Fatima. Cardinal Policarpo recited the prayer, which he wrote himself, at the end of a Mass concluding a major international pilgrimage to Fatima for the feast day marking the 96th anniversary of the apparition of Mary to three children. "We consecrate to you, Our Lady, mother of the church, the ministry of the new pope," he prayed. "Fill his heart with the tenderness of God that you experienced so that he can embrace all the men and women of our age with the love of your son Jesus Christ."

Hymns for Our Lady of Fatima Feast Day

Fatima Ave

In Fatima's Cove
on the thirteenth of May,
the Virgin Maria
appeared at midday.

Refrain:  Ave, Ave, Ave Maria!
Ave, Ave, Ave Maria!

The Virgin Maria
surrounded by light
God's Mother is ours,
for she give us this sight. (Refrain)

The world was then suffering
from war, plague and strife
and Portugal mourned
for her great loss of life. (Refrain)

To three shepherd children
the Virgin then spoke
a message so hopeful,
with peace for all folk. (Refrain)

With sweet Mother's pleading,
she asked us to pray.
Do penance, be modest,
the Rosary each day. (Refrain)

We all must remember
our Lady's request
do all that she asks for,
obey her behests. (Refrain)

Queen of the Rosary

The Mother of God came down from the skies,
surrounded with light from Paradise.
She spoke to three children,
"Fear not, come to me
for I am the Queen of the Rosary."

From May through October
the children did see,
the Mother of God o'er
the little helm tree.
So many show no love
for Jesus and me,
said Mary the Queen of the Rosary.

She pleaded dear children
do penance and pray
for Russia's conversion and
peace in our day.
The best way to do this,
most pleasing to me,
is praying each day my Rosary.

The sick and the crippled, the
blind and the lame,
o'er many long miles to Fatima came.
They listened with hope to their
dear Mother's plea,
my children please pray my Rosary.

The sun whirling down from its place in the sky,
was Mary's great sign which none can deny.
The powers of evil were broken that day,
All hail to the Queen of the Rosary.

The World Apostolate of Fatima, USA - Our Lady's Blue Army Wishes You and Your Loved Ones A Blessed Easter

A Very Blessed and Happy Easter Season to all of God's children
from all of us at the World Apostolate of Fatima, USA,
"Our Lady's Blue Army."

Resurrection2

He walked out of the tomb back into the world.

After His ascension and the arrival of the Spirit He promised, His disciples, drawing strength and nourishment from the Precious Body and Blood He left them, spread His Gospel far and wide.
Many there were who embraced it, lived it and shared it with others.

But alas, just as God's people during Old Testament times first followed then rejected Him, we of New Testament times have done the same. Left in freedom to our own designs we've made a mess of the world. Souls are being lost to hell and wars and all manner of man's inhumanity to man abound.

In 1917 at Fatima, Portugal Our Heavenly Mother - "Queen of Prophets" - was sent as a prophet for our times with a message from heaven to save us from ourselves - to save our souls from hell and bring peace to our world. Her message is known as The Message of Fatima, and its delivery to the world is essential for the survival of the world as we know it and for the salvation of our souls.
