Pope Francis Grants Plenary Indulgence for Fatima Centennial

Jubilee Year of Fatima

Granting of Plenary Indulgence

In order to celebrate with dignity the centennial of the Apparitions of Fatima, by mandate of Pope Francis, a Jubilee Year is granted, with the inherent plenary indulgence, from the 27th of November 2016 till the 26th of November 2017.

The plenary indulgence of the jubilee is granted:

a) To the faithful who visit the Sanctuary of Fatima on pilgrimage and devotedly participate in some celebration or prayer in honor of the Virgin Mary, pray the ‘Our Father’, recite the symbol of the faith (Creed) and invoke Our Lady of Fatima;

b) To the pious faithful who visit with devotion an image of Our Lady of Fatima, solemnly displayed to public veneration in any temple, oratory or adequate place, on the anniversary days of the apparitions (the 13th of each month, from May to October 2017), and who devotedly participate there in some celebration or prayer in honor of the Virgin Mary, pray the ‘Our Father’, recite the symbol of the faith (Creed) and invoke Our Lady of Fatima;

c) To the faithful who, due to their age, illness or another serious cause, are hindered of moving, if repented of all their sins and with the firm intention to carry out, as soon as it will be possible to them, the three conditions indicated below, in front of a small image of Our Lady of Fatima, on the days of the apparitions, joining spiritually the jubilee celebrations, offering with confidence to the merciful God through Mary their prayers and pains, or the sacrifices of their own life.

In order to obtain plenary indulgences, the faithful who are truly repentant and filled with charity must fulfill the following ritual conditions: sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion and prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father.

Annual Public Rosary

The annual public Rosary in honor of Our Lady of Fatima's last apparition will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016.

TIME:  2:00 P.M. TO 4:00 P.M.

PLACE:  Ala Moana Beach Park, Picnic Area 1 and 2, directly across from Macy's Department Store at Ala Moana Center

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

O Mary, 

I consecrate myself to you,

Daughter of the Father,

Spouse of the Holy Spirit,

Mother of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus.

I will wear your Scapular always as a sign of this consecration,

and I offer my daily Rosary and the 

fulfillment of the obligations of each day

particularly those against your Immaculate Heart,

Sister Lucia's Monthly Novena to Our Lady of Fatima

On the 4th day of every month, Sister Lucia would pray a special Novena to Our Lady of Fatima in anticipation of the 13th day. The novena included the Memorare and three Hail Marys.      This month the Novena begins on the FirstSaturday, June 4,  which is also the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We hope you will begin praying the Novena every month!  Your First Saturday devotion also consoles Our Lady's heart and helps bring graces for salvation to those most in need of God's mercy. Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.    3 Hail Marys...Amen

Committing to Praying for the Successful Journey of the Pilgrim Statue to Hawaii

Hawaii will be privileged to have the traveling Fatima statue come back to our beautiful islands.  Details to follow once things are finalized.  In anticipation of this visit, we need to reach as many people as possible to spread the urgent message of Fatima.  Please join the World Apostolate of Fatima Hawaii Division in praying the following prayer from today, May 31, 2016 until February 4th, 2017.

O my Jesus, for the successful journey of Our Lady of Fatima's pilgrim statue to Hawaii, I accept and bear with submission whatever crosses God permits in my life today, for love of You, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You; I beg pardon for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love You. (Recite three Hail Marys) 

May 13th - The Rich Content of the Message of Fatima - on the 99th Anniversary

The following is from The World Apostolate of Fatima Spiritual Guide for the Salvation of Souls and World Peace.  This blog post will also appear the the World Apostolate of Fatima Hawaii Division Blog.

The message of Fatima which springs from the apparitions of Our Lady, is a solid blueprint for life.  It cries out to be put into practice for the good of the world, and the salvation of souls.

Its teachings are in harmony with the Gospel, calling to mind the following elements with new emphasis:

-  The mystery of the Blessed Trinity;

-  The providence of God, which directs and governs the world and presides over the events of human history;

-  The omnipotence and omniscience of God, Who knows and realizes all things according to His exalted designs.  It foretold future events and revealed miraculous signs to prove the truth of God's predictions;

-  God, Who rewards or punishes, according to the good or evil done, though He is ever merciful towards sinners;

-  The reality of heaven, hell and purgatory;

-  The existence of Guardian Angels, not only of individuals but also of nations;

-  The real presence of Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament, and the necessity and value of Holy Communion;

-  The real presence of Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament, and the necessity and value of Holy Communion;

-  Sanctity as a condition of true happiness even on earth, and docility and correspondence to grace, the mysterious mixture of divine action and human effort;

-  The reality of sin as an offense against God with its tragic consequences for sinners and nations;

-  The Christian solidarity of the Mystical Body of Christ;

-  The intercession of the Mother of God as a powerful mediatrix and dispenser of grace;

-  The love of the Heart of Jesus and of the Immaculate Heart of Mary - the great revelation of Fatima;

-  The importance of Marian devotions, particularly, the excellence and efficacy of the Rosary, the new devotion of the first Saturdays, and the value of Consecration of the Immaculate Heart of Mary;

-  The powerful action of grace, which so transformed the three little children at Fatima and led them to such a close union with God.

-  Russia, simultaneously a scourge that punishes the sins of the world, and the object of Divine Mercy, by the promise of its conversion through the intermediary of the Heart of Mary;

-  The sanctification of the family, in imitation of the vivid scene of the last apparition;

-  The final triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Fatima Centennial US Tour for Peace

The world-famous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima will begin a two-year Fatima Centennial U.S. Tour for Peace,March 21, 2016 – December 20, 2017, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of the Angel of Peace (1916) and the Blessed Mother (1917) at Fatima, Portugal.

The tour will launch in our home Diocese of Metuchen, NJ, and travel to parishes in more than 100 dioceses throughout the United States.  Our goal is to reach all 50 states.

Purpose of the Tour:

• Allow Our Lady of Fatima to claim her dominion over our country,
• Spread the message of Fatima – the Peace Plan from Heaven – to a world in need,
• Promote devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary through Marian Consecration,
• Ignite hope and confidence in the Mother of God who desires peace in our world and the salvation of souls

The tour is dedicated to the three shepherd children, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, to whom the Blessed Mother appeared and exhorted them to be fervent in working for the salvation of souls and conversion of sinners through daily prayer and penance in reparation for sins. She identified the conversion of sinners as key to peace in the world.
